Summer School 1

Munich Summer School (6-10 August 2018, Dr. von Hauner Children’s Hospital, Munich)

This was the first Summer School organised for the project and it was held in Munich in the heat of summer. Excitement was in the air as it was finally time to review what the content looked like online. The dedicated LMU team worked hard with the Distance Learning Expert Board to upload the various content, videos, graphics and interactive H5P files into a moodle-based platform before Summer School began.

On Day 1, the stage for reviewing the content was set by a training session on Inclusive Design and Web Accessibility delivered by Rebecca Spoerl (Ludwig Maximillians University) and Lee Yew Kong (Uni Malaya) where understanding the approach of making a website accessible for those with disabilities formed a basis for evaluating the ENeA SEA modules. Reviews of each other’s modules led to more discussion on areas that needed harmonization and planning of timelines for deliverables ahead of the launch of the training platform in Mahidol University during the 2nd Biannual Meeting in October 2018. Erasmus+ projects are complex as they involve multiple partners, payment and procurement systems and local laws; to help navigate this successfully, participants were trained on Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement by Boonpraserd Treerayapiwat (Mahidol).
