This module aims to address the importance of appropriated nutrition and the clinical practice of nutritional care in preterm infants. The following learning objectives will be met in this module:

• To be able to describe the demographics, causes and consequences of pre-term birth.
• To identify and initate preventative measures in at-risk groups.
• To transfer knowledge of the importance of appropriate nutritional care and clinical practice requirements in preterm infants.
• To evaluate and implement appropriate situation-specific nutritional care needs of preterm infants.
